Six Flags and Fright Fest! Win tickets!

BOSTON AND AROUND, CONTESTS, REVIEWS & CONTESTS | | October 17, 2014 at 9:07 am

Recently Six Flags invited us over for a media day afternoon event. Six Flags New England is about a 2 hour drive so we debated the drive since Hubby was teaching Scratch programming classes that day but we knew our family always has tons of fun at Six Flags so we decided to go. We normally visit Six Flags during summer and love their water park but sadly missed it this year so we were curious for their fall offerings.

Admittedly I was concerned about Fright Fest at Six Flags New England because my girls are pretty young and I know what adults and teens may consider cool would freak them out. Ok, so maybe their mama gets a little spooked out too. Six Flags assured me that they tailor Fright Fest to younger crowd too.

So I was happy to learn that younger kids (or anyone) can get a spider ring. By wearing that ring the “zombies” and other creatures know to steer away from you. Mind you there are still a few displays that are not for the weak at heart but they were manageable.

For a $1 entry fee (which Six Flags New England donates), kids get entry to the Trick or Treat trail. They get a loot bag and get to meet the friendliest of characters doling out candy. Mind you the characters are interactive and ask the kids to make sounds or act to get the candy but the candy is the good kind so there was no need having to convince the kids.

Of course there are shows and rides where the full Fright Fest effect is felt. The mood is eerie and eclectic. It is pretty exciting seeing all the costumed characters around. We also got to bump into one of our favorite people at Six Flags (hi Courtney!) who has made us feel very welcome through the years.

Six Flags New England is open weekends until November 2nd. Head on down to catch some Halloween fun.

Usually it’s much nicer here in April. I missed this one, but some of the guys I ride with went. Some of the lolcas from Chicago I met at the Wabeno D/S ride or the Central ADV rally in Eagle River Wisconsin (highly recommend events) told me about some Israeli that ride.Maybe I won’t be the only Israeli who rides the woods of North Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.Next time when you are in town, drop me a note. I have a few motorcycles. I will show you around.
