5 Apps To save you money while holiday shopping! #VZWBUZZ

I have loved working with Verizon Wireless and discovering how my gadgets help add to my lifestyle. I don’t like cheap stuff, I like stuff cheap. I think many people don’t know the difference, but if you’re a discerning shopper with one eye on the wallet and the other on the quality, you would know what I mean.  Here are a few apps I use pretty often to save me money.

1) Retail Me Not

Need a coupon? Need it quick? Retail Me Not has always been my go to for shopping coupons but now that they have the app, it makes my life so much easier. With the scanning barcode right there on your phone it makes it easier to save you some money at the stores you want.

2) Groupon

Groupon revolutionized the world of coupons and I would be lying if I did not admit to stalking the app for deals. While sitting in a waiting room, I can make sure I have a deal for my hair coloring and dinner with my girlfriend for her birthday next week. The questions feature is a huge plus, considering most of the time they ask the questions I need asked but am too busy/lazy to ask.

3) Zulily

Zulily is dangerous. It has the most amazing items for women, kids and home (and occasionally men). I love having items that are not normally found in department stores. The ease of purchasing and browsing make this app highly addictive.

4) Amazon

No, I don’t mean just purchasing from Amazon, but the power within the app. Did you know that you can SCAN items sold in store with the barcode reader in the Amazon app? By doing that not only do you find the exact item immediately on Amazon. This way you can find the average price of the item on Amazon and also, most importantly, have access to the reviews for the said item. I am a big review reader, so this feature itself is one worth paying for in the app, but thankfully the app is free.

5) Gyft

Raise your hand if you’ve lost gift cards? How about had one expire? Gyft allows to to manage all of it into an app so all you need to carry is your phone. What’s that? You already carry your phone? Then you’re all set! How does it save you money? Well the time you save running around to stores and we all know time is money. I love that Gyft is a friend to procrastinators (aka me) who can gift last minute but still be a gift that gets there on time and is appreciated (I love gift cards and always buy things of indulgence that I normally would have scoffed at). Another bonus? Re-gifting a card you already have is very easy.

    Rolf says:

A dual core processor is diferfent from a multi-processor system. In the latter, there are two separate CPUs with their own resources. In the former, resources are shared, and the cores reside on the same chip. A multi-processor system is faster than a system with a dual core processor, and a dual core system is faster than a single-core system, when everything else is equal. If each core is 1.4ghz then GSIII will rule everything with his 5.6ghz, genious.
