Boston Children’s Museum celebrates 100 years! (Win 4 tickets)
BOSTON AND AROUND, CONTESTS, REVIEWS & CONTESTS | Mommy Niri | February 18, 2013 at 7:36 pmCONTEST CLOSED!
Congratulations Mia!
Have you been to The Boston Children’s Museum? If you live in the Boston area it would be surprising if you did not visit this local treasure. I still remember when my now 7 year old (almost
was 10 months old and it was our first visit and I was amazed how she was safe in an area just for babies. I could be with my local mom friends as our babes play in a safe place. There were very few places that we could do this. I still recall the private nursing areas, along with a fridge to store milk and a microwave etc, all to make a new moms life so much more pleasant. As my kid became a toddler and I had another, the “under 3″ area was bliss. Perfect away from the older kids, it made a parent to a kid with wobbly feet feel at ease.

The prep for school section was perfect as we started heading towards Kindergarten. The pretend play rooms is heaven to my 2 little girls and I am relieved to not have to clean up after the kids in the water rooms. Being engineers, the STEM that the rooms offer is something we are passionate about. Seeing their favorite PBS show Arthur being featured at the museum and if you think that they don’t get enough physical play, you have not seen all the rooms at the museum.
The KidStage is fabulous where kids get to take part in impromptu theater and the recycling room gets them thinking in a more eco-friendly manner. There is so much to see at the museum that it would take you several visits to see it all.
A little more details from the museum about their 100 year anniversary:
