Curious George: Monkey Down Under (Stride Rite $50 Giveaway)
CONTESTS, REVIEWS & CONTESTS | Nirasha Jaganath | December 5, 2012 at 8:18 pmCONTEST CLOSED!
Congratulations Kerry!
So many amazing things happening this weekend I should be lucky I have my head about me. Well, I guess it is attached, so lucky me! I received an invitation to to a screening of Curious George and I know my kids would have loved to see him on the big screen, our screen at home is probably the smallest screen you can get, but since it was a school day, we opted out. Then we were offered to watch a screening and of course I said yes!

My older daughter is 7 years old and while many kids have moved on to bigger kid shows, she still has a special place for Curious George in her life. I swear I can still hear my 5 year old giggle hysterically as that monkey gets up to new antics, most likely because she feels a connection to him as she attempts the mischievousness daily. As an engineer the Math and Science he brings with him warms my heart and as a mama the adventures he gets into reminds me of my girls. It is no wonder I feel proud to be a PBS Kids Ambassador.
In the new episodes George is paired up with animal conservationist Bindi Irwin, but in the animated form. Readers will be used to watching her shows of her adventures with animals in Australia, bringing a world foreign to most, right into their living room. More about these episodes:
PBS KIDS with a trip down under and a special appearance by animal conservationist Bindi Irwin. In “Monkey Down Under,” Georgeand The Man with the Yellow Hat head south for an Australian Outback Adventure. While The Man with the Yellow Hat goes sea cow sightseeing, George stays behind to investigate a set of giant footprints in the sand. Could it be a mysterious hopping clown rabbit? Or perhaps…a baby kangaroo?! Tune-in as Bindi teaches George about koalas, emus, kangaroos and more
To celebrate the show I am going to give away a Stride Rite gift card to celebrate the Made 2 Play shoes by them.
