Speaking To Gymnast Nastia Liukin, And The Fisher Price Fantastic Gymnastics Dora doll! (Giveaway)

REVIEWS & CONTESTS | | July 27, 2012 at 9:31 pm

So if you are not on the Mommy Niri Facebook page or have not noticed that little badge on my sidebar, you may not have realized that I am a Fisher Price play ambassador. I know! I am pretty psyched too. I had a little visit to their head office in East Aurora, New York. Don’t worry, I will be writing about that soon, but tonight is the Olympics opening ceremony and I wanted to share something else with you. Nastia Liukin is a five-time Olympic medalist and role model, and is teaming up with Fisher-Price,  to help introduce the new, interactive Fantastic Gymnastics Dora doll.

I gave the doll to my 5 year old daughter and have to admit that we were all in awe of the flips and motions. I swear that I was worried that the doll would collapse or fall in between, but the precision built in the doll is amazing (spoken like a true engineer, right?) and it landed perfectly each time.

About Nastia:

Nastia became a member of the U.S. junior national team when she was 12 years old and won the National all-around title at the age of 13. Since 2005, Nastia has been a key member of the U.S. Senior team.  In 2004, Nastia was ten months too young to compete as a senior and was therefore not eligible for a place on the U.S. team for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens although her scores were competitive among the seniors. In 2008, Nastia finally got her chance to compete on the world stage and was qualified to three event finals, more than any other American competitor: beam, uneven bars and floor exercise. She went on to win a total of five medals including the coveted Gold Medal All-Around Title. With her fifth Beijing medal, Liukin tied Mary Lou Retton and Shannon Miller for the most gymnastics medals won by an American in a single Olympic Games.

About the doll:

Dora is ready for the Fantastic Gymnastics Show! Watch as she magically performs four full routines all on her own! Dora’s all-star moves include handstands, backbends, splits and more! She also sings a special song about gymnastics and speaks in English and Spanish! The doll retails for $50

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for novice blog writers? I’d
    definitely appreciate it.
