The “Ask A Local” App From Massachusetts Office of Travel and TourismNEWS | Nirasha Jaganath | April 24, 2012 at 7:55 am
I have lived in Massachusetts for around 12 years and have to admit that I still am surprised to find something new if I just took a different route than I normally take. I guess there are several hidden treasures to be discovered and though I like surprises I am more like the “I want to know it all” kinda girl. I am a Googler, a die-hard one at that. If I want to look for something I Google it. Sometimes I find exactly what I am looking for but sometimes, thanks to all those lousy companies who play dirty SEO tricks (and quit pitching me for paid text links), those results are not only murky but way off base.
It is at times like that I am glad that the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, or MassVacations as they are affectionately known, has created an app which helps with this. So whether you are in town visiting or someone like me who still has so much to discover, this free app may just be the tour guide you were looking for.
More about the app:
The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) recently announced its “Ask a Local” iPhone application is now available on iTunes. This free, on-the-move guide provides travel information, “local” tips, and deals fromMassachusetts hotels, attractions, restaurants, and shopping destinations. MOTT also recently launched its “MassFinds” blog on massvacation.com, featuring the state’s hidden gems and longtime favorites, as narrated by Massachusetts’ tourism mascot, MOTT the squirrel.
So download the free mass vacations app today and start your journey.
