Wilson Farms Spooky Hayride!

Being away from family means traditions take a knocking. We have been struggling to create new traditions not in line either with our beliefs or our pockets. One of those traditions that happened  quite by accident a few years ago was the Spooky Hayride at Wilson Farms, Lexington MA. Wilson Farms is a place we go to as a treat to get fabulously fresh vegetables and fruits. They also have a decent nursery and good sections for bakery, cheese and meat too. I don’t need an excuse to sit on hay and enjoy an open ride on a tractor. It s always so relaxing. I love going here for the Spooky Hayride because it is a simple ride with spooky connotations but nothing to send a kid screaming in fear. Peppered in between the fields are decorations and simple halloween props. On the return, after you get out of the tractor, you get some candy corn and an apple. So while most people have elaborate vacation traditions, ours is the simple Wilson Farm’s Spooky Hayride. Did I mention IT IS FREE?

What a fantastic place! Your photos are absolutely beautiful, makes me want to find our closest pumpkin patch (although I highly doubt to find anything like this in Orlando)! Nah…I’ll just visit Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party instead. :)
