Fabulous BlogHer Finds!

I have several more posts coming up about BlogHer but I wanted to give a shout-out to a few products I spied:

Shoes:

Glorious shoe heaven is my name for BlogHer. And not because all the fashionistas have the most amazing pairs, which they do, but because I always seem to leave BlogHer each year with a pair or so. This year I managed to get some nice flip flops and one of those foldaway shoes from Dr Scholl. A type that some silly person told me once were useless – tell that to the lady who I saved when her shoe broke. A week before BlogHer at a local strawberry event mine broke and I could have kicked myself for not having a pair in my bag.

There were 2 fabulous finds though

So I was hit by the Naturalizer shoe fairy, aka as Stacie. Not only did I get to room with the shoe fairy and her oodles of stock of shoes but I got to see her dole it out to fellow bloggers. I have to tell you I run giveaways because I LOVE that feeling they get when they win and I get to help make them feel that way. To actually be handing shoes to all the “winners” and that too a quality as awesome as Naturalizer was indeed wonderful task. Smart, stylish and flats (yes they will be worn for that reason alone).

The second was this amazing pair that promises to help you walk better. Immediately wearing a pair of sandals from the Weil Integrative Footwear range I could feel my arches pushed up and while I am no expert I l immediately felt the middle of my feet get a lot of support.

The LeapPad from LeapFrog

Now like many people I am tired of sharing my iPad. While the apps are wonderful my kids have a way of fidgeting and changing all my settings (and if you received a weird email from me, ever, I am sorry). So I was glad to see something created for them. It also looked a little robust so hopefully it will survive longer with their rough and tumble play. The apps seem reasonably priced and I can’t wait to buy this pad for my girls. I managed to play around with it while at the Sweet Suite which had several new toys out.

Adora Playtime Baby

I love lifelike – makes it easier to cuddle. The first thing I noticed about these Adora dolls are they are weightier so feels closer to an actual baby.  Now with 2 girls in the house you actually consider yourself a doll connoisseur of sorts (no prizes for betting how many we have in this house). The one sweet thing about this doll, that honestly my kids won’t know or understand, is that she smells of baby powder. If you close your eyes you almost feel achy for that time your kids smelled that way. My 6 year old immediately took her into the upper bunk and she remains there for her snuggle each night and sleeps with her arm wrapped around it.

This was another find in the Sweet Suite.

The one thing  that my daughters and I can share equal love on was the Braun Satin Hair Brush (with IONTEC) given to me as part of  the P & G Life Well Lived day. That brush is amazing and works wonders. No more static and flyaways and control without chemicals. My girls call it the magic brush.

The last one, for now, is something that was not at any party or expo. It was this:My wonderful friend Desiree made this for a few of us to keep track of the business cards. That lady is way to smart and savvy, good thing she is my friend.

Also wanted to give a shout out toInvitation Consultants for paying my conference ticket for BlogHer.

Disclosure: All of the items, except the LeapPad, were provided during BlogHer.

I was looking at the Leap Pad for L too, He has taken over my iPad as well, and he needs something of his own for sure! Do you think the apps that come on it would be good for a two year old?
