Back-To-School With Crocs!

The fact that Crocs are so versatile for everything from getting them on fast to gardening to the water parks make them popular in my home. What makes it even more so is the fact that cleanup is a cinch. Since they are so easy to get on (and off) schools have frowned on their use at school for fear of them coming off. When Crocs announced their new Back To School line I was keen to check it out and wondered if it would satisfy the scrutiny of schools.

When I saw the new line I was pleasantly surprised at how different they looked as to what I had envisioned Crocs would look like, and then I picked them up. There was no doubt in my mind that these sneaker like shoes were indeed a Crocs creation – light as air as any of their shoes. It was clear they would be school-approved because they’re close-toed and close-heeled. If you are worried about variety they have 13 new styles for boys and girls from K-8.

The fact that they were lace ups meant my daughter could still continue to feel “big kid” as she showed off her newly acquired knowledge of knotting her laces.  Of course I still have to remind myself to be patient as I am always trying to get out of the house on time. Having them in pink meant she was still “cool” with wearing sneakers. There are little holes on the side so it really makes the shoe airy and (hopefully) stink less if she goes without socks.

Light shoes also mean it is less weighty and especially when their feet dangle so often from chairs, and carseats, which keep them above the ground. Since my daughter has SPD (sensory processing disorder) we always try to get practical shoes and clash with her sense of “style” but with these shoes we are happy with them being secure and she with them being trendy.

Here is a cool video with clickable links directly to the shoes but even more fun than that there’s a fun Easter Egg hidden within the video. You can “click on it and see what happens!” but here is hint what it looks like:

You can also win a trip for four to San Diego: oceanside, family-friendly hotel, San Diego or Sea World tickets, $200 play money, and a rental car.

Disclosure: “This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media and Crocs. I received a pair of Crocs shoes for the purpose of this review. I was also compensated for my time investment and work on their Back To School campaign. Thoughts are my own.”
