John Legend Sings At #GiveEducation Event In NYC!Uncategorized | Nirasha Jaganath | July 30, 2011 at 3:30 am
Ok so you’re gonna kick me when I tell you I never knew who John Legend was. Hell after hearing him sing I would kick me and not to mention how good looking he is. I am going to have a more detailed post (yes I got to interview him – I know, I love my job too) over at Mommy Niri Cares but I had to share this over here as well (though you really should drop over to that site to watch the videos of his interview and a special note about special needs too). Trust me you wil not want to miss this post over there.
So when I agreed to attend I was already floored by entire campaign and the P&G Give Education (the educational philanthropic arm) partnership with Communities in School. The aim to keep more than 1 million kids in school is not only bold but applaudable.
On Sunday, July 31, a GIVE Education brandSAVER will be included in newspapers across the country!
Among the regular fabulous coupons there will be special coupons for P&G products here. For every brandSAVER coupon redeemed, P&G will donate 2¢ to CIS to help deliver human, financial and community resources to students and their families. The P&G uncapped donation will be based on the number of coupons redeemed beginning July 31.If you want to know the newspapers carrying the GIVE Education brandSAVER, they can be found at www.pgeverydaysolutions.com.I am not a huge newspaper buying girl (blame my online world) but this Sunday the impact of this is too great to ignore.
Here is John Legend and the Sports and Arts Foundation Champions Club Chorus from M.S. 390 in University Heights, Bronx performing Let it shine. One word: beautiful!
Disclosure: P&G kindly covered my travel expenses.
