Tech Support For Dummies – Trust Me You’re Going To Need It! (Win The Android Tablet)

CONTESTS | | December 14, 2010 at 8:37 am

Congratulations John!

It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the most sought after gifts are electronics but sometimes it feels like you need to be one to figure them through. In between putting doll-houses and that new bookshelf – there is another item that needs figuring out. Except for the fact that electronics are their own beast. In the pursuit to make things smaller, and faster it all got kind of complicated. Raise your hands if you think you can open up some device and understand what is going on? I thought so.

Those things are so fragile and complicated which is no wonder that a lot of frustration follows the holidays. Called the customer support recently? Well first you have to find the box and manual, right? After you survive the 100 prompts you may be lucky to get a live person on the line. Chances are a lot of time and effort is already wasted now and nerves are raw already – enough to take the merriment out of the holidays. Now imagine doing that for several products to several companies?

Worse still, tossing it in the closet to collect dust rather than deal with the aggravation. You get the picture and we both know all of us have dealt with it. Then I heard of something I think adds value to our lives – Tech Support For Dummies ! Hold on, Mommy Niri would never suggest that you go reading a book, this is an actual company whose mission is to make your (electronic) lives easier. I normally wouldn’t be caught dead reading a “For Dummies” book (I am a software engineer after all) but would be lying f I said I do not own some. Anyway – I would not dream of pointing you to a site as well. Who has the frame of mind to click for answers?

Imagine this: a single number you call for all things technical – PC, Laptops, iPads, smartphones, digital cameras, printers etc? Wait – imagine that number being available 24/7 – sounding sweeter right? I can hear you saying “but Mommy Niri, they are going to charge an arm and a leg for it?” and seriously I have learned that free stuff sucks. It does – because they treat it like that. If a company’s brand (and profits) is on customer service alone, guess what they are going to deliver? Exactly!  It is like an insurance for your devices – except that you don’t have to wish you did not need it (as in only gain from it when you lost everything).

The kind folks from Tech Support For Dummies have been kind enough for offering a special to the readers of Mommy Niri – 3 Months Unlimited Tech Support for $19.99. Use the code listed there HolidayCheer! Really, that’s cheaper than a dinner out at a restaurant. This also may make a really thoughtful present for someone who know who gets all these gifts but is overwhelmed by how they work – and has family too busy to spend time showing each detail. So sign up before that deal is up and have that one number you call on for technical support.

So this is the holidays and the awesome guys from Tech Support For Dummies wanted to give something to the readers of Mommy

Niri and I never say no for wonderful goodies for my lovely readers (even if I wish I had this for me too).
