Congratulations Brooke!

What color do you think my home is flooded in? Well no prizes for guessing. It is undoubtedly PINK! I already spoke about how we are fans of the Pinkalicious book (can’t wait until Silverlicious hits the stands) but did you know there was a whole slew of toys and dress-up clothing too? I love dress-up and I love that my girls love dress-up. In fact our dress-up trunk is overflowing with outfits. I normally get Halloween costumes that can double up as dress-up (considering how much they cost – they better be used again, and again) and I am loathe to get rid of any. They make a perfect play-date accompaniment.

So when the kind folks over who make all things Pinkalicious asked me if anything piqued my interest – I would have been a fool to not opt for the clothes to review.

There were a few to choose from but being an old romantic (did I say old?) I opted for the medieval princess dress and the pinkerrific tiara.  The dress comes with a matching medieval hat (not sure if it called a crown) as well – and this was refreshing as most costumes don’t have the head gear (which as we mamas know is a big deal because you can’t have a dress without a crown).

Know I know my kids love their Disney princesses but I must admit this dress was a breath of fresh air. The work on it was more intricate and had some softer fabric (which a mama appreciates not having scratchy material on her kiddo) and though I do wish that the hems of the dress were stronger – truthfully I have not seen any dress up dress anywhere that survived the wear and tear – yes even the more expensive dress up dresses seems to lose it at the edges and fray faster. The tiara has details with bendable wire which takes a beating but I appreciate that it takes a second to straighten out again.

The winner will win both the dress (valued at $19.99) and the tiara (valued at $7.99)

To win tell me what is your favorite pink thing – any pink thing? Contest closes 21st November 2010. (please don’t leave your email address in the comment).
