Kids move. You can’t really fight it. The best you can do is go with the flow. Just make it safe. A while back I met the guys from Street Surfing and heard about their amazing support of the First Lady’s Let’s Move Campaign They are giving away 1800 wave boards to schools around the country to help with the physical education department. I think that is a wonderful way to show dedication to a movement that really addresses a serious concern in the country.

This scooter combines  surfing , snowboarding and skating into a solid product that takes a short time to learn. Admittedly although recommended from age 5 + it was a tad much for my kid but may not be the case for all kids. The very thing about the scooter that makes you feel like you are falling as you step on it, it moves side to side, is the very same feature that makes the cool moves happen without stepping off the board. Since it is self-propelled it means it is slightly different from a regular scooter.

The fact that it made from virtually indestructible yet nicely lightweight ABS plastic means it will be durable and weather more than a few years and riders. The extend-able handlebars makes it easy to grow with your child. And if you are worried about storing this, as you should be since kids normally attract ride-ons,  this little baby folds up to take minimal space.

    I would give it to my nephew. I’ve become increasingly concerned with how much time he spends inside playing video games – the kid never goes out. I’ve made it a point to get him outside as often as possible, and when he’s at Aunt Amanda’s he knows we’ll be embarking on a new adventure outdoors. A few weeks ago I took him to a new park that had an area with ramps for skateboarders. He was fascinated watching those boys and I knew he was wishing he could join in.
