Cisco Launches “What if your tv could talk?” Contest!Uncategorized | Nirasha Jaganath | June 2, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Cisco has a new “What If Your TV Could…?” contest. Being an software engineer for 12 years and having a husband who has worked in the same field meant that Cisco as a company has come across our paths once too often. It is certainly one of those companies that you totally respect. I normally never post about company contests (I figure that is what advertising is for) but if you followed Cisco you would know with their telecommunication and consumer products they aim to bridge the gap between people and communities.
Entering is a piece of cake ! Shoot a video that answers the question: “If your TV could do anything, what would you want it to do?” To help get you some ideas, not like you need any, watch the bunch of fun responses so far.
Of course there must be prizes: The grand prize winner gets $10,000. Three popularity prize winners will receive a $500 gift card to Amazon. The rules are pretty clear – (but you can see more details of the Cisco contest here)entrants must be 18 years old, the video has to be three minutes or less and it must be narrated in English or have English subtitles. Contest closes July 13, 2010.
I did not have to do too much thinking to figure out what I wish mine would say – all I had to do was look at my kids clinging to the tv. This was after I asked them for the 100th time not to sit so close. If my tv could talk I wish it would tell my kids not to sit so close to the tv.
Make sure you enter on the Cisco Contest site itself.
Disclosure: I was provided a Flip Mino video camera to shoot my video!
