Photoworks – A Personalized Gift For Mom!REVIEWS | Nirasha Jaganath | May 1, 2010 at 8:25 pm
I was approached to test drive the Photoworks new site and though I used to spend a lot of time before buying prints and photogifts I have to admit that I have not explored too much in a while. I have to admit so much has changed. Uploading of files is so fast, no more waiting while you watch the “working…” sign forever. The preview ability also takes the guesswork out of what the final product will look like.
Prints are great but honestly I feel like except for price quality is pretty minute amongst most retailers. So I decided to take a stab at the photogifts. One thing about personalized gifts is that they are normally a hit. Even regular personalized gifts with a name (unless you spell the name incorrectly) are usually a hit, but give a mama a photo gift with her kids and it would be hard to not make a good impact. I tried out the mugs and a puzzle and was eager to see how they came out. I had a longer wait as I ended up receiving an incorrect order but the customer service guys were on the ball and made a speedy effort to correct it. Sad that I had to encounter it but pleasant to know that if I ever had issues they would be remedied on time.
The puzzle pieces were a slight disappointment quality wise, I expected a much stronger pieces but that may be since I am used to the toddler/preschooler type puzzles. The mugs on the other hand were vibrant and of a pretty good quality. I loved that I could put more than one picture on the mug. My favorite one is that of my Atlantis trip with the building resort on one side and our dolphin experience on the other. Even if the gift is for you making a photo gift is wonderful way to capture memories in a usable format. They also make a great mother’s day gift – hint, hint – nudge, nudge!
A huge disappointment that these images faded after the 1st month!
Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to try out Photoworks!
