Timing Is Everything!REVIEWS | Nirasha Jaganath | April 28, 2010 at 9:23 pm
I always wondered who would use the timing feature on the dishwasher. On my bread machine it rocks but on a dishwasher? I mean I could understand that if the dishwasher was loud (set it off and leave the house) but my Frigidaire dishwasher is so quiet that I often have to open it to see there are signs of water splashed around aka it is working. But now I have found a great reason. I normally like to kick it off before I sleep but I snack at night. I know, bad mama but stay focused we are talking dishwasher here not my (growing) list of bad habits. Anyway I love to wake up to a clean sink (i.e an empty sink) – I know what you are thinking – doesn’t everybody?
Well if that was the case then explain to me why hubby turns a blind eye to the sink full of dishes? Back to my snacking, I mean dishwasher, story. Stop distracting me, I am trying to make a point. So since I snack that also means more dishes which also means I am hesitant to kick off the dishwasher until I have put every last item in it. That also worries me that I may forget to kick off the dishwasher and wake up to a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. If anyone never told you the only thing worse than a sink full of dishes is a closed dishwasher, festering the dirty dish smell. So by putting a timer on I ensure it kicks off. If I forget my plate then worse case a plate is left out, if I remember I can add it in since the timing is after midnight. Also it really is a big plus how quiet it is else it would not be used at night. It is all in the timing.
