You may recall a little while ago The Papa Post did an interview with Goby. Well Goby has changed a lot since then and have a fun challenge for the Mommy Niri readers. Summer is always easy but come February I am literally climbing the walls for something to do. Winter is a tough one everywhere but in a place like Boston where winter drags on it can certainly be a challenge. By adding a Winter Fun category that searches for fun things to do in the winter such as skiing, ice skating and cross-country skiing, Goby helps you find that local fun easier. Of course remembering the winter jackets is still your responsibility.

Wow! they really have improved Goby since the last time I visited it. I thought it took forever to get search results because the search engine wanted to search databases even in places I wasn’t interested in visiting, and there was no way to stop it until it was finished. This time the search was faster, but I’d still like to see a way to cancel the search, maybe something like “I have enough results, stop searching”. I noticed seven results right off the bat, but then still had to sit through the search of irrelevant databases, and when the search box went away, there were my seven results. Goby still needs some tweaking, but it is a great resource. I looked simply for “parks” in my area and got seven results all within just a few miles radius.

I came across a scuba diving excursion called ‘Wreck of the Ghost’ off the coast of Florida (which happens to be where we are planning to vacation this summer)… now that’s the type of adventure I’m looking for!
