The great thing about being part of the Sprout’s Band Of Bloggers is that I get a sneak peak into the amazing works of the Sprout team. You would easily think the amazing line-up targeted at preschoolers is enough, but I am constantly impressed by how much this team is doing to try and help parents out. In fact when they recently asked me to write about Diwali for the post on holidays I was appreciative of the acknowledgement of other traditions. For the first time the team has embarked on a series to target certain traits with the help of characters our little ones are already acquainted with.
In the pilot release of the Let’s Grow series, Lending a Helping hand is the theme. I love that on the show on television we have several presenters and characters to guide you through and not just have an abrupt start and finish to shows. Not only that I really appreciate that the hosts don’t looks like teenage wannabees with gawdy clothes trying to be trendy and loud (if you have not guessed it I am not a fan of the Fresh Beat Band – music rocks but that is all that is good). Well they have extended that in the DVD as well so Kelly and Chica will be there to guide you through a few episodes all with the same message. You will be pleased to know that Barney the Dinosaur, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Angelina Ballerina, and Fireman Sam are all part of the show. Also included is a parent’s resource guide allowing you to take the discussion further.
