Bye-bye Stinky Dishwasher!NEWS | Nirasha Jaganath | January 27, 2010 at 6:33 pm
If you know me personally then you would have heard me rant and curse at my dishwasher, and not without reason. I live in a community where all the homes were built at the same time and sold with (the cheapest) appliances. We bought the house after the owner had put the current model through the rigmarole for over 10 years. Since we don’t believe in replacing something that is not not broken we have suffered the dirty outcome. Had it just been dirty dishes I may have sucked it up but when pieces of my favorite dinnerware started cracking due to the now rusting and unprotected wire racks I was really heart-broken. Those were (fine china) dishes that were my last purchase with my salary before I quit to stay home with my baby, so pretty precious to me. Dishes I had researched that would be beautiful but go into the microwave and dishwasher. Sigh!
When I learned that I had been chosen to be a Fridgedaire Test Drive Mom to get a brand spanking new dishwasher to test out I was beyond thrilled. While I am anxiously awaiting the new dishwasher I keep giving my icky dishwasher a dirty look to say “Soon, you will be out of my life!” How freaking cool is that? Frigidaire announced a new partnership in September with admired actress and philanthropist, Jennifer Garner. Also I was in New York at the launch (and yes she is just as beautiful in real life). The pair teamed up to launch the new Frigidaire line and to kick off the “Make Time for Change” campaign to support Save the Children.Visit www.maketimeforchange.com to play Spin & Win for a chance to win prizes including a new time-saving Frigidaire Affinity washer/dryer. Plus every day you take a spin, Frigidaire donates $1 to Save the Children as part of their $250,000 commitment to this worthy cause.
Now I would not be one to drool alone so here is the picture of my latest, soon-to-be-installed baby. Keep watching as I chronicle my journey to sparkling dishes.
