Skincare is one of the things I pay attention to. Well, make that used to pay attention to. I must admit I have let things get out of control. Not sure if it it my bad habit of drinking too little water (why, oh why does water not taste like Diet Coke?) or maybe the fact that I come from a tropical place and the Boston winters have shown me a special welcome year after year. I am normally a big fan of Aveda and normally but their products by the liter but since times have been tough keeping with the high prices has been a challenge.
A few months ago I held a Suave Mommy Shower party and then again at Blogalicious got meet the team (and also scored an awesome hand massage at their booth) but sadly did not take any products home thanks to the huge cost of checked baggage. When approached to review the products I figured I would give them a try not expecting much.
Pros:
- Moisture level is pretty decent.
- The variety of scents are great but not too overwhelming
- The value for money makes it affordable for everyone.
- Good exfoliation in the body wash
- Some of the creamier body wash gels are pretty moisturizing.
- Lotions absorb easily.
Cons:
- The hydration from the lotions do not last the entire day.
- The products do feel like they have too many “ingredients”

I would love to have these for my extra pampering. Being in a household with three sons plus a husband, i need all the girl “me-time” that I can get plus not to mention relieve the stress of chasing after three kids under the age of 5 each day. Thank you for a great giveaway

I do not do much pampering for myself at all. I tend to take care of the kids and hubby leaving not much time or money for myself-like any normal mommy does. I have extremely dry skin, Minnesota isn’t kind to the skin either. Thanks for the giveaway!

I think the question was asking why I deserve extra pampering? I deserve extra pampering because I’m trying to make Christmas happen for my family as well as my parents and siblings because everyone is flat broke and have lost jobs this year. I don’t mind doing it but it is stressing me out BIG TIME!

How about pampering for Dads?! I need one too!
I forgot when I was in beauty salon last time… so sad… Kids and hubby take all my time, power and money…
I need a little extra pampering because today I’m sporting a black eye. I was bending over to fill the dog bowl with food last evening, and our guard dog, a Belgium Malinois(pronounced Malinwa), came charging. I didn’t see him because I was busy trying not to spill the food out of the bag. He hit me with his head full force. It literally knocked me down. It felt like I had been hit in the eye by a boxer. I let out the biggest moan, went down and hands went right up to my eye/head area. I started crying. I couldn’t help it, it hurt so bad. Hubby came running. He helped me up and to the couch. He cleaned up the dog food that ended up spilling out of the bag. Immediately I had a major headache.
Well today, I’m sporting the black eye from such, and the poor dog even has a bump over the eye where he hit me with his head.
If this black eye gets worse I’ll probably not go to church tomorrow. People will think things they shouldn’t be thinking if they saw it. Too many gossip spreading women there. I mean there are some great women there too, but those few wagging tongues can really get things started when they want to.
So, I need a little pampering and maybe the Suave will be just the thing.
I’m not mad at the dog. From now on, I think I’ll fill his dog bowl in the laundry room with the door closed and then bring it out when I’m sure he’s outside, then let him in the house to eat.

You can never have enough pampering ..especially in the winter.. when our skin suffers so much! Being a stay at home mom.. well we all know the story..lol I tend to neglect “Me”!
