Win Gerber Graduates Smart Sips Drink And BackPack
CONTESTS, REVIEWS & CONTESTS | Mommy Niri | October 21, 2009 at 9:02 pm
** CONTEST CLOSED **
Congratulations Clarissa Neiding & Jovita Cantu
Nutritional drink for kids? There are so many in the market today that you can’t even count them. A quick search on Google for “kids nutritional drinks” returns 20 million results. Thats amazing. Seriously, it would drive anyone nuts to literally figure out how to pick the right drink for their kids.
I was happy to receive a sample pack from Gerber for review and do a giveaway on the blog. The packaging seemed tougher than regular juice boxes, but once its goes in kid’s hands anything is possible. Even though the drink is loaded with vitamins and omega-3 fat my kids found it hard to gulp as it was low in sugar. Kids care more about sweet than nutrition and I don’t blame them. If you are looking to replace milk with nutritional alternative for your kids then smart sips may be the right choice, however if your kids are used to sweet drink like hot chocolate then smart sips may be a difficult choice.
Two lucky readers can win Gerber Smart Sips contest on Mommy Niri blog by entering the contest. The winner gets - One pack of Smart Sips and a Gerber Graduate backpack.
Share your experiences in the comment section about feeding healthy drink or food to your kids. (”count me in” type comments will not count). Make sure that you enter the correct contact details. Contest closes 25th October 2009. To earn extra entries, after you have left a comment, do one of the following, but make sure you leave a separate comment entry for each extra thing you do. A couple healthy choices we have made for out toddler is to give him organic unsweetened apple sauce (fresh fruit he can’t quite chew properly yet) as a snack choice or low fat cheese.

I encourage healthy eating by limiting their options to sweets.
Once I figured out my oldest son was averse to certain textures of foods, I found healthy options in his prefered texture.
He actually likes broccoli and carrots and spinach.
I always enjoy drinks like this that are healthy in disguise. Usually my daughter can only have water, milk or one small glass of juice a day so if we win it would be a real treat for her!

Great choice for a giveaway! My kids love gerber snacks!
My son, who is 9, has always been a healthy, non-picky eater. He will almost always seek out a healthy snack over a sugary treat.
I started my kids out early on – feeding them veggies and fruit! They still love it!
my grandson would enjoy this mverno@roadrunner.com
My son loves milk, so I never have problems with his drink!
we use fresh as often as we can for our princess
We always provide fresh veggies and fruit, whole foods and organic snacks to our kids. Thanks for the chance.

This would be great for my son!
My grandson is a picky eater and we have a hard time getting him to eat right. But this drink looks like it tastes good . We won’t tell him it’s good for him and I bet he will drink it up!!!
Our grandson likes to drink rice milk over regular 2% milk. Both he and his 5 year old sister are picky about their choocolate milk. They only want to drink organic chocolate milk.

I have very healthy eating kids. I think its because I expose them to all sorts of foods as they start eating.

My son will eat healthy foods, but they have to be tasty. Fresh fruit works the best.

I really like the idea of giving healthy drinks to kids. My kids love the Pediasure drinks but we have never tried the gerber one for my toddler. I think if I tried it, she probably would love them
I feed my daughter homemade baby food, she has not had juice yet (7months) nor will she for a very long time. We are all pretty healthy eaters and I want her to find healthy eating “natural” you know?
THanks for the opportunity to win!
I think the most important thing to do when getting your kids to eat healthfully is to eat healthfully yourself.

Oh Gerber Graduates are a def on my shopping list every trip! I have a one year old and he loves them! They are healthier than fast food and such that a lot of parents feed their babys! I want this
My daughter refuses to drink white milk, so I mix in the pink Nestle strawberry powder and call it “princess milk.” Works every time. macd82 at gmail dot com
I make a lot of homemade foods and like lots of stuff fresh from the garden
One cup of juice is only allowed at a meal, we encourage water drinking other wise

My 8 yr old loves Kid Essentials!!
I tried to start my son on healthy foods from the beginning. He eats only whole wheat and would rather have milk than sugary juices.
We use a lot of fruit and veggies from our garden so we are eating healthy always.
When my daughter was little she would have orange juice every morning and start out with a good healthy breakfast!

I have always tried to offer healthy choices to my son. He is 6 and will not drink soft drinks. He likes juices and tea which is so much better for him.
I try not to give my daughter too much junky drinks but it’s difficult when she sees other kids have it. As with everything, one has to give in with moderation!
I subscibe!
I believe in having a baby on formula until a year old, adding cereal whenever the baby is wanting the bottle more, adding baby food at 7-8 months, and every 2 weeks introduce a new baby food and by the time they are 1 year old, introduce some table foods every so often, but keep on the baby food for awhile and gradually introduce some finger foods (NO grapes or hotdogs–go choking hazzaed foods).

My son is too young to drink anything aside from formula and water right now. I’m going to try to delay his intake of sodas and sugary liquids for as long as possible!
