Mommy Niri was invited by 360 PR to the attend and tweet about the 49th Ad Club Creative Awards held at the World Trade Center in Boston, MA. Now if you know me, you know this is not the norm for me to be attending an event of this nature, but how could I miss an awards ceremony. Besides high school and college I don’t remember attending any other.  Added to the fact that I was simply curious as to what those creative guys get up to. Anyway at a whopping $125 for entrance tickets I was glad that the folks at 360 PR were footing the bill for entrance and parking (thanks 360PR).

It was admittedly weird to tweet an event that went at the speed of lightning. Added to the fact that dressing was a mixture of red carpet worthy outfits to I-just-woke-up-from-bed shabbiness made me feel at ease in my jeans topped off with a formal jacket. I gave up reporting winners as I am sure I butchered the names and began to tweet pure Mommy Niri style. Curious about those tweets? Just search for #adclub on twitter to catch up on the dose.

While the music was in itself worth me brushing my hair for, the food (ball park style) was not. The theme of the event was “Marching to a different beat” was kept up with beaty sounds and ended with bhangra beats. The drumsticks in the goody bag were perfect to keep the tune.
