I remember the cotton candy my dad bought for me, and still remember getting nervous watching the trapeze artists.

I loved the trapez – watching as a kid mesmorized me!

I remember being backstage at the old Boston Garden, sitting on a case, and having all the clowns walk by me.

We took our family to the circus 2 years ago and the kids were just amazed by everything – it was an entirely new experience for them. Everyone enjoyed the high-wire act – although I find it very nerve wracking to watch! Now that they are a little older, it would be wonderful for them to see it again!

I haven’t been to the circus in years, but I still remember going to the circus with my dad when I was about 4. He bought me this cool flashlight that shone — oooh! — red and sparkled. I think I kept that memento for years!

    Aileen says:

I went to the circus every year as a kid in New York City. I remember the light, noise, excitement, shiny costumes, toy vendors, animals, and of course the clowns.

Oh, how I loved the circus as a kid. But, I have to remind people that they should read up on the treatment of circus animals and decide (as adults) if they want their money to support that kind of business. The answer might be “yes!” I just hope everyone takes a moment to learn what’s going on. (not a contest entry)

I love the circus! I was lucky enough to get a chance to be a clown in the circus. One of the clowns did my makeup and I was on the floor doing tricks with the other clowns….it was so exciting…..I’d love to take the kids to opening night this year

Going to the circus has been a family tradition. And a way to celebrate my birthday every year. It is fun to see others there celebrating the same birthday day. My birthday is October 14th so this is perfect. Thanks for the opportunity.
