This Wednesday, September 23, so you can be a part of the first-ever National Family Game Night! On this day, Hasbro is encouraging families across America to spend an evening at home playing games together to reconnect and reenergize relationships. I was fortunate enough to meet with the guys from Hasbro at BlogHer and just received a shipment of a nice selection of games from them including the new Monopoly City
Board games! Remember them? I have very fond memories of borrowing a neighbor’s Monopoly and making an entire party night with my sisters. I also remember the first board game I owned as a gift at the age of 10. Even getting married games like Cranium, Pictionary and Taboo have always been a part of our entertainment. Now that my oldest is 4 we have been playing board games and they are a super hit. In fact event my 2 year old can understand the rules of Bingo or Candyland.
So pull out a game and let’s play!

Oh this is a great idea. I think we are one of the few American families that don’t have video game consoles. I love playing boardgames!
I’ve been meaning to institute a weekly board game night. Maybe that’s too big a commitment. Maybe I’ll start monthly. Thanks for the nudge, Mommy Niri!
