UPDATE (1/10/2009): See Jello Mousse & Jenny McCarthy’s Your Shape for Wii Party
When I was approached to try the new Jello I was a bit on the skeptic. I know many people are crazy about it but truthfully I come from the old British traditions in South Africa of thinking Jello (or Jelly as we call it – we call jelly jam there) as part of a trifle dessert and always make it from scratch. But then I heard mousse and it had my name written all over it. I am a big lover of mousse but we all know mousse has to be done very well or it is plain awful.

With due reason I was suspicious of how good could a mousse be that was packaged. To make my doubts grow I was also told that this concoction was just 60 calories. I mean, come one, 60 calories on a dessert and that to a mousse? You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that a mousse has to be creamy, light, fluffy to pass the test. Did Jello make the cut? Shockingly yes! I thought it was an overkill when I saw how well freezerpacked the packs arrived to me in an overnight shipment, but it is totally clear that the temperature control is essentual to quality of the product. So if you buy them at the supermarket, hurry on home, you have decadence to try out!

Mousse Temptations by JELLO comes in three delicious flavors: Caramel Crème, Dark Chocolate Decadence and Chocolate Indulgence. They’re airy yet rich… and worthy of your “me” time.
Every sugar-free cup is 60 calories each, making this one indulgence you’ll want to share with all of your friends.
Below I’ve included some nutrition information.
Caramel Crème Mousse

Hands down this is a snack to be kept close at hand. My favorite is the dark chocolate decadence, but all are worth a try. The brand-new treat will be available beginning in September 2009 at grocery stores nationwide.

Sugar-free at that? Amazing!!
If you want a strawberry mousse..try La Creme it’s yogurt but really good…not low in calories but it is still very good!
These look delicious…I will be looking for them!
Awful is the only way you can describe these things. I loved Devils Food, which for some reason was taken off the market. When these new ‘Temptations’ appeared we decided to try since the packaging is tempting and makes you think you’ll get something special. And so we tried… once… and will not be tempted again. Poorly flavored plastic goo and nothing more than that.
I agree. Awful as a mousse, indeed. Instead of throwing my my mousse in the trash, I zap them in the microwave, turning it into a warm delicious pudding. Much Better this way!!
AWFUL is correct. I could not believe Jello was the creator that produced this chemically tasting play doh dessert. Horrible. I took back the other five and got a refund. Jello really missed the mark, this is NOTHING like mousse…
i saw these while shopping today and thought about getting them and decided not to. I was worried that the tiny cup wouldn’t really satisfy the craving, you know.
The packaging enough makes you want to gooble these up(very appealing). I luv these things and no sugar makes it even better.
I have looked at 3 different stores and haven’t been able to find these. I am looking forward to trying them.
You can find them at walmart
Costco has them
Be happy u can’t find them they taste awful
I bought some of these last night. I absolutely love them.. Something different, and sugar free.. Good stuff!
You know how much it cost?
The Caramel is wonderful! Please keep making it, don’t give in to the chocoholics of the world.
Amazing, just had them again today…to my surprise one is enough especially when eaten as a snack after lunch, just enough to satisfy but not overfill you.
I just had one with a side of strawberries YUM
Really good. I tried Chocolate Decadence and no artificial sweetener aftertaste. I hate the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners found in Jello’s other lowfat, sugarfree puddings. Made for a wonderful “dessert” after my 4 point lunch. (I’m on WW). Would taste good with a cup of coffee. A rich chocolaty flavor stays on the tongue after it’s eaten. And to think I could have another if I wanted and still stay on plan…but one is enough!
Yes, these are delicious! I tried the chocolate mousse. I dumped it in a bowl and mixed it with fat free cool whip (either frozen or whipped) for an extra special treat. Next i’ll try adding a fresh strawberry or two! YUMYUMM! Oh, and i found it at Target.
It really was good…:-)
I tried these last week and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were. They definitely satisfy the craving for the more fattening, calorie ridden chocalate snacks. They will be a “regular” on my grocery list.
Terri
Luv it! I’ve now tried two of the three. Good news for those of us looking for tasty yet dietetic friendly snacks.
I tried the dark chocolate mousse. Not loving it. It’s heavy and sponge-like instead of light. I do love the sugar free pudding. It tastes the same as regular pudding. I am not one of those affected by the sensitivity to artificial sweeteners. I think they need to work more on the mousse to make it less heavy.
Omg! I saw dark chocolate and mousse and was sold! And then I was in love at the first bite. I also buy the dark chocolate fat free pudding. But now the dark chocolate mousse is my fave !!!! And its just the perfect ending after the meal. It tastes great! I am in love!!
eating the caramel one as we speak…delicious! satisfies the sweet cravings and at only 60 calories, I don’t have to feel guilty
Have yet to try the other flavors, dark chocolate will be next!
I am super picky when it comes to sugar-free desserts. And I am also a big big fan of chocolate mousse (my mocha mousse is killer in many ways…calories being one). I tried this at the store yesterday then promptly bought a package of the chocolate. I am a big-time overeater and am taking steps to correct this. This is going to be my secret weapon for sweet cravings. It is really good. I don’t think it has a fake or plastic taste whatsoever. It is as good as the real thing as you’re gonna get with sugar-free and pre-packaged. I highly recommend them. And yes, one is enough=)
Not even close to mousse. The consistancy was almost dry. The whipped air pockets burst like the carbonation in soda when you eat it. While the flavor was good, the consistancy was very poor. I will not be buying them again. The regular sugar free pudding is better.
Love these !! I tried the daark chocolate flavor. I’m doing WW to, and anytime I can find a 1 point dessert I grab it.
Not that impressed… sorry.
Is this only available in the US?
I am not exactly sure. I assume if regular Jell-O is it should be.
It’s in Canada too. Walmart and Superstore for sure.
The dark chocolate is fabulous. It is just enough to fill my mid afternoon sweet cravings and I don’t have to feel guilty enjoying it. I have yet to try the other flavors. Here’s hoping they are as delicious as this one!
Just finished eating Chocolate Indulgence & really liked it. It did not have the aftertaste I have come to expect from most sugar free desserts.
Looking forward to trying the other flavors.
These are SO GOOD! I hope Jello doesn’t stop making them…they’re the perfect snack for my kind of diet. I didn’t even know they were only 60 calories, I thought I was being bad. But then I looked and saw 60 calories/no sugar. Perfect!
The dark chocolate mousse is awesome. I’m on a lifetime diet, and wheniver I get a need for dark chocolate, I am right to the refrigerator for the best 60 calories I can eat.
I cannot wait to try these! I’m making my husband run to the store as we speak. I’m trying to lose weight and have a major sweet tooth. From reading all this I know that this will be just the thing to satisfy that craving.
OMG. so glad it doesnt have that “artificial sweetener aftertaste” sooooo goood…. 1 WW point! im totally SOLD!
These are my favorite snack! I love them! I enjoy a snack after dinner, especially when my kids are having something yummy like ice cream or cookies. Those can be a weakness for me….but not with yummy desserts like this in my fridge!! I wouldn’t have ever guessed these are sugar free! Yum, yum, JELLO!
Am I missing something
during the commercial she says
“After you have washed the bills and paid all the dishes”
what’s up with that ?
I bought a 3 pack at COSTCO for a little over $8 they are great!!!
Well, I just finish eating one today, it taste great. It may not taste like mousse, but it’s close and its for people who do not want to feel guilty eating something chocolaty. So I would recomend this, for a desert or those days u just need a bite of chocolate. I like it becuase its only 60 calories and it taste good. If u want reall great mousee, this is not for u, if u want a bite of chocolate and not feel guilty afterwards, I would recomend it. Also remember, just because it’s 60 calories, you do not need to eat the hole pack in one day.
Loved them! Am not normally a pudding/jello person, but had a coupon, so bought a pack to try. Will be buying more in future. Nice and chocalatey, lighter than pudding, no yucky aftertaste from being fat/sugar free.
I love thw new jello mousse cups just wish they made a strwberry mousse. So far I have only been able to find the dark chocolate. Not complaining it was good! I got mine at Wal-Mart and paid just alittle over 2.00 for the pack of 6.
so goood!!!!! I love them!!! I’m terrible at holding back and have been desperate to find something that can satisfy my cravings and I have found it! I”m not crazy about the caramel one but I love the chocolate and dark chocolate. Thank goodness they made these!!!
Having recently been diagnosed diabetic, I can no longer indulge in the sweet things I once did. Yes, there are sugar-free things available but most have such an awful aftertaste or taste so different from the sugar-filled counterpart that I’m loathe to eat them.
This, however, was wonderful. Light (perhaps not as light as true mousse but considering it’s pre-packaged, I was impressed), sweet, and without the aftertaste I typically can find in other sugar-free products.
Now I can finally eat dessert with my family once again, without having to eye their ice cream/pie/whatever with jealousy. In fact, my eight-year-old now keeps trying to eat my dessert in lieu of hers!
Are you all insane??? Sugar free usually means fake manmade sugar!!!! People think the fake manmade stuff is better for you…..HELLO WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! Between the two evils, sugar vs fake sugar regular sugar is a win win win. All that fake stuff is not safe to be putting into your body!!!!!
I love your review of this product. I am not a chocolate person, but I know several people that have enjoyed the Jell-O Mousse Temptations. Check out my blog for a chance to win a coupon for a free 6pk of these Jell-O Mousse Temptation treats. http://mochamom04.wordpress.com

Great stuff. Only wish more stores in Texas like HEB would carry this wonderful treat.
I LOVE these….absolutely decadent. It cures my sweet cravings without blowing my caloric intake. TRY THEM….yummy!
They are good and satisfy my sweet tooth. I do not like artifical sweetner but I was surprised that there is no after taste. I have tried the chocolate and the caramel and they are both good but my favorite is the chocolate! Yum
They suck, I mean really suck, there is no way that I thought I was eating chocolate, my dog wouldn’t eat this stuff. It tasted like dried milk and air, bad, really bad!! I wish I had not spent money on this!!
We have been looking for months. Where in Texas are they sold? None in Wally-World, nor HEB. Albertson’s? Randell’s? What gives?
Anyone who doesn’t love these is a food snob. Best low-calorie dessert I have every tried, although I admit there is a temptation to eat three at a time. But still only 180 calories.
My family bought the caramel ones and they were not bad but i think i would like chocolate a lot better.
If you want really great mousse – go home and make your own, or go to a restaurant. You’re not going to get a fabulous mousse in a plastic cup at the supermarket, and surely to goodness you didn’t need me to tell you that! No, they’re not real mousse – but they’re pretty close, considering.
These are, in a word, delightful. I’m not a fan of packaged chocolate pudding as it tends to be a bit slimy and bland. I love the velvety texture and consistency of these, and the taste is exactly what I need for a chocolate craving that won’t be denied. Chocolate pudding doesn’t do that for me; for some reason, this does, and I’m in love with them.
When you are dieting and cant have the real deal, this little snack is a welcome change from carrot sticks, and its only 60 calories. YUMMY!
I didn’t read the label well enough and picked up the caramel mouse in stead of the choc!!!! no beuno!
Where did they go? None of the stores near me have them anymore!
A friend dropped some off to me knowing that I am dieting, but the package was not with it. What is the carb count on this things? I want to try but won’t sacrifice.
YUM! With a little bit of fat free whipped cream, even better!
Love this stuff. LOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE it. If you ever have a coupon for it, then all the better.
I also wish they made a strawberry mousse. Love both of the Chocolate’s.
Great, one more thing that people with allergies to artificial sweeteners can’t eat.
AMEN .Artificial sweetners will kill you.Wake up America.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the caramel =) I hope Jell-o doesn’t stop making these! Can’t wait to try the other types!
I would like to see you come out with a raspberry/chocolae mousse!
I live in Georgia in the southern region of the United States.
In lieu of caramel–which we don’t have anywhere–we have Mint Chocolate. So, we have Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and mint chocolate.
Love the new Jello dark chocolate mousse!
I thought it looked good, but I don’t buy anything with sucralose. Not only can I taste it, I also get headaches from sucralose (aka Splenda). I make a point to read the ingredients if the package states “fewer calories” or less sugar” because that usually mans an artificial sweetener has been used. Is the Mousse made with real sugar but just less of it?
WOW. I was totally skeptical about this product, but a recent coupon & on sale at my supermarket gave me the opportunity to try the Choc Decadence. These are really good. I love the taste, texture, and CANNOT believe they are sugar free. I will definitely be buying more, on sale or not.
I have been eating these since they came out, I lost alot of weight and like a lil” chocolate every now and then… fits perfect in my diet… PEOPLE that are giving bad reviews, its MOUSSE !!!! its supposed to be lite and airy ” 60 calories” sugar free ” I am always satisfied with 1 … we’ll sometimes i have eaten 2 at a time… still only 120 cal. They are great. Chocolate is my fav.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING I EVER TASTED THAT IS FAT FREE AND SUGAR FREE….THE MOUSSE IS WOW!!!! WHAT CAN I SAY….I AM ON A NEW LIFESTYLE AND EATING REGIMN AND I AM SOOOOO GRATEFUL TO JELLO….TO THINK OF WE WOMEN OUT THERE WHO NEED THEYRE CHOCOLATE!!!THANKS
Wanted you to KNOW: Just bought & ate several cups of you Mousse Temptations DARK CHOCOLATE DECADENCE and it was D’Lish, perfect, not too sweet and I could definitely taste the Chocolate, it was Heavenly!
Supa, Love It!
Many Thanx, Ms.Helen&Crew
I love these!!! MMMMM!!! I am on a diet and exercise 5 days a week. Sweets have always been my downfall and this helps to curb that sweettooth late night craving. I enjoy all the flavors but I would have to say the chocolate is my favorite.
Why is there not a white chocolate mousse?!?! Im waiting for them to come out with that one!
Loved the mousse, but….. . When I lick the cup, it tastes like chemicals. Yuck, what is in the cup plastic and is it soaking into the mousse?
disgusting, sytrofoam in a cup! I would rather eat tons of yogurt than ever attempt one of these disgusting so called decadence desserts again! yuck!!!
Your commercial is disgusting and it alone would ensure that I will never try your product! The commercial celebrates child abuse and should be grounds for a lawsuit!
My mother and I totally agree with you. Each time we see theses commercials ,I just can’t Imagen what Jello was thinking .what an awful thing to say to a child. And for what (?)a processed snack. Mental ABUSE !!
Commercials that make threats or inflict fear in children is absolute juvenile. There is no reason for such idiocracy.
Parents are to protect, not inflict fear into their children. No need to advertise a product, just because you want to influence the product can be for adults as well as children. There are other commercial ideas without the one you are currently using to post fear into a child if they chose to eat the adults/their parents food.
Amen, rotten advertising, no wonder people are so messed up now days
I’m humored by the marketing messages so many corporations attempt to subtlety influence our eating decisions by here in the United States. I live some part of the year in South East Asia and India, as a way to detox from all the synthetics and chemicals found in the American diet. When I return to the States, I am astounded at how much money is put into convincing us, that this or that is good for us. Fear marketing is the skeletal-base of so much of marketing nowadays. The closer your food source is to being raw, the more you can taste the essence of what you’re eating and your body will thank you for it. What we here in the United States refer to as whole foods or organic foods, is known in the less developed world as “food.”
The commercials for Tempations are absolutely wrong. I would never purchase this product unless the commercials that frighten children are taken off the air.
These are amazing, work well with my Atkins Diet!!!
This is terrible tasting never again…
WHY do they all have to be sugar free? We would love to eat these but we DO NOT eat artificial sweetner. Can they please makethem with REAL sugar. Artificial sweetner makes you gain weight people.Sugar burns off. When is America going to wake up
