Reading To Your Baby Yet?EDUCATION | Nirasha Jaganath | August 18, 2009 at 9:08 pm
I am not talking about getting out the GRE books while still pregnant, but it is a no-brainer that talking and reading to your baby does make an impact. Children are sponges so it is indeed an honor to give them appropriate material to soak in. Education is a very passionate subject to me so I love being a part of anything to deal with it.
I know it is difficult carving out time to work on reading when there are a million things on your plate, but carve it you must. With gadgets galore making our life easier it is amazing that we still are so much on the go. Quality programs like the Hooked On Phonics, or even reading with Super Why all assist in making the education aspect fun. You seriously have to watch my girls dancing to both and you won’t question how can something so educational can be so entertaining at the same time. See my early readers.
This week on my SnazL show (wednesday at 9:00pm EST) I will feature Back to school and I would love you to add your videos and pictures of school (esp your school pics) and there are prizes too. We will be sharing with each other. Watch it here on MommyNiri.
Speaking of education, have you ever seen the worn out supplies at school and wish you had a million bucks to help them out? Well not exactly a million but does $10,000 sound? THAT’S iNGENIOUS CHALLENGE is underway and all you have to do is share an idea to win $10,000 for a school and you even score an iRobot product for you.
