Curious George Comes To NH Children’s Museum

CONTESTS | | March 3, 2009 at 8:00 am

The Children’s Museum in New Hampshire is a wonder to a child and adult alike. The unassuming older building structure on the outside gives nothing away about what happens inside. Being a big fan of the Boston Children’s museum but not one of the crowds and parking that goes with it, I ventured out to the Children’s Museum in NH, even though it was a hike to get there (took me almost an hour).

What I did not expect was the total down-to-earth feeling and the little amenities they have. Simple things are big things to mommies, like small potty toilets for kids, baby carriers to borrow while in the museum, and helpful staff to assist at all points. All the exhibits are diverse and exciting, from the submarine, to the make-some-music center, to the cook-it-yourself diner and even a dig-for-fossils section. And this is just the beginning.

As part of the Books Alive program, introducing characters out of books to children with the hope of reading and introducing a love to literacy. I was fortunate to see Max from the Max And Ruby fame and it was a lot of fun watching kids as they brought the story alive as they interacted with the character. Next Saturday the 14th of March Curious George makes a visit from 10am – 2:00pm.

To celebrate The Children’s Museum of NH is giving a family pack of 4 tickets to this event. See guidelines below to enter.
