Ballas Hough Band: These Guys Can Dance And Sing TooPRODUCTS, REVIEWS | Nirasha Jaganath | March 26, 2009 at 8:36 pm
If you have even passed a cursory glance to Dancing With the Stars the names Mark Ballas and Derek Hough will be pretty familiar names to you. DWTS is eagerly watched by over 18 million people. And you were most likely one of those who planned you day and meal around the timing of the show.
From 2006, the two professional ballroom dancers have not only tasted victory but have laid claim to the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. Mark claimed the trophy in season 6 with Kristi Yamaguchi, and Derek and Brooke Burke were the winners in the 7th season of the show. Mark and Derek did not stop at the dancing. For over 10 years they have been plugging away to release their debut album, “Ballas Hough Band“. In fact had it not been for the One2One Network team who introduced me to this album, I might have never discovered this gemstone.
I am one to shy away from a lot of the newer music as I feel jaded as to what it offers. Also having been out of touch for a while, ever since the birth of my girls, I was concerned that I would find it difficult to identify with. I needn’t have worried at all. This was a fine blend of rock, with smacks of the 80’s with super smooth listening, in the car, at dinner or even during (the most loathsome) housework. The Ballas Hough Band has convinced me that not only can they dance, but they can sing pretty well too.
