Apple Picking At Parlee Farms

It seems like we can never get enough of fruit picking. Last year we picked strawberries at Connors Farm, apples at Autumn Hill Orchard, and Peaches at Belkin Lookout Farm. This year we went strawberry and raspberry picking at Smolak Farms, today we picked apples at Parlee Farms and we plan to visit our favorite (and priciest) Belkin Lookout Farm later this fall. Parlee Farms was a place that I had never heard off. Had it not been for the mention of it in a friend’s blog I might have missed this treasure tucked right next to the New Hampshire Pheasant Mall.

Not sure about this year’s obsession with water places and fruit places, but can there be ever be a better way to spend summer? Anyway, perfect weather combined with wonderful fruit made for a pleasant outing. There was such an abundance of fruit that our bag filled up pretty quickly, so did the girls tummies. A surprise to me was the beautiful flower garden with a “pick-your-own-bunch”. Though I did not get to do flower picking, as much as I would have loved to, (Can you imagine 2 toddlers being “gentle” in their picking?), I did make sure to pick myself a bunch from their farm stand, along with other fresh vegetables. Now I get to savor the memories for days to come.
