A Day Out In Boston

It has been long overdue that we have not taken the girls out to Boston. Excluding airport trips and trips to Museums (Children’s and Science) and Aquariums, we had not traipsed into the city. Once upon a time we felt that being a part of the city life was of utmost importance, then children happened to us. Now we move a little slower, but appreciate faster. We decided it was time to venture out to expose our babes to Boston, armored with our handy double “Sit-and-stand” stroller. We are not really stroller people (opting for a Baby Bjorn carrier when they were younger, and a Radio Flyer wagon now that they are older), but this day definitely called for a stroller.

We started out at the Boston Common and Public Garden. We decided a ride on the Swan Boats was something the girls would enjoy, and be short enough to match their attention span. We needed to grab a bite after, and sans kids we would have headed straight to Newbury Street. Since the elegance of this fancy street would have been lost on the kids (but not on our wallets) we settled on simpler eats.

We then headed off to entertainment at Quincy Market. This place is always so full of performers it is no wonder throngs of people flock here. Ending the day with a pretty balloon “bracelet” for each of the girls, just had the sweetest touch to the visit. See you soon Boston!
